Who I am?
ITIL certified technical service manager with over 2 decades of experience working for three major brands; Hewlett Packard, RM Education and Tarmac. Leading highly successful teams, call centres and engineers.
High Net Promoter Scores from customers, High Employee Engagement Scores from staff and successful project management.
I'm a highly motivated organised individual who gets the job done. I rise to any challenge and use various problem-solving techniques to resolve issues. Recommendations below will back up my credentials.
Prior to IT I worked in customer service, something I am passionate about.
I built up 2 Service Desks virtually from scratch, one which people actually liked to call.
I have been outsourced to Hewlett Packard (twice), and gained a lot of experience in TUPE as well as the outsourcing processes. I was heavily involved in the transformation project to ensure the new Global Service Desk in South Africa and Philippines had all the knowledge, OLAs & training documentation they needed to support Tarmac going forward.
For 6 years I volunteered as school governor (vice chair) as well as involved in other community initiatives.
In summary:
If you are looking for a leader who puts the customer and employees first look no further. I value quality, act with integrity and deliver results. I manage functional teams
leading by example.
My recommendations on the Endorsements tab will back up my credentials.
Outside work:
Football
After hanging up my boots for league 5 a side matches in 2004 I began organising a weekly friendly match, initially to keep my work colleague fit and active. It finally ended in 2013 when the company moved to Solihull, though I still play squash every week to keep fit and occasionally play for a Sandvic team in Rowley.
Guitar
I’ve been playing guitar since I was 18, mostly self taught. I find guitar music logical compared to sheet and have even begun being able to play tunes by ear. I’ve dabbled in some song writing and even had the courage to upload some on to youtube http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7953804A0CBB6315
Photography
I enjoy taking photos, which took on a new level with the purchase of a DSLR. I've done a fair few photo shoots, a number of weddings and birthday parties.
